Entry declaration: I / we, the undersigned, apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof: -
I / we hereby declare that I / we have had the opportunity to read, and that I / we understand the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the
ACU Standing Regulations, such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.
I / we further declare that I am / we are physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and I am / we are competent to do so.
I / we confirm that I /we understand the nature and type of event we are entering and its inherent risks and agree to accept the same
notwithstanding that such risk may involve negligence on the part of the organizers or officials.
I / we confirm that the machine(s) as described above which I / we compete on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose.
I / we confirm that if any part of the event takes place on a public highway the machine(s) described above shall be insured as required
by the Road Traffic Acts, or equivalent legislation, and that it / they will comply with the regulations in respect thereof.
I / we agree that I am / we are required to register our arrival by “signing-on” at the designated place not less than 30 minutes prior to
commencement of my / our practice or first competition, whichever occurs first.
I enclose the entry fee of £100/€160 plus WTRA membership, ACU event or team fee as appropriate.
Acknowledgement of the risks of motorsport: I / we understand that by taking part in this event I / we are exposed to a risk of death,
becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I / we acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the
part of the ACU, the promoter, the organizing club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a
contributory cause of any serious injury I / we may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my / our voluntary
decision to take part in a high risk activity.

EVENT:
This is a type of event specifically designed to be suitable for TRAIL bikes. The event will be decided over a number of
"SPECIAL STAGE S" which will be timed to the nearest second. The course will be made up of "Jeep width" tracks, which will be
predominantly stony forest roads and "Green Lanes".
BIKE ELIGIBILITY: TRAIL BIKE class:
1.
Trail bikes must be fully road legal and either have been described as a TRAIL bike by the manufacturer.
N.B. 2 stroke TRAIL bikes ARE totally acceptable and are welcome to enter this event.
2.
Trail bikes must be fitted with working electric horn, rear light/stoplight, and main/dip beam headlight.
3.
Trail bikes must be fitted with pillion footrests and indicators.
4.
Front and rear tyres can be ANY fully ROAD LEGAL and “E” marked type
N.B. Tyres marked N.H.U. (Not for Highway Use) or similar, non-speed rated tyres and ANY motocross tyres are specifically
EXCLUDED from this event.
5.
All Trail bikes MUST be properly and efficiently silenced.
6.
Any bike regarded as excessively noisy will be noise tested and must be able to pass an ACU noise test.
7.
Any machine entered in the Trail bike class which at machine examination is found not to comply with the Trail bike eligibility
rules in any way will be moved to the Sports bike class.
BIKE ELIGIBILITY: SPORT BIKE class:
1. Sport bikes may be any fully road legal motorcycle with some degree of off road capability.
N.B. Converted motocross bikes are specifically EXCLUDED from this event
2 and 4 stroke ENDURO bikes are welcome
2. ALL Sport bikes must be fitted with an electric horn and front/rear lights powered by the bikes generator.
3. Bikes fitted with batteries must have the batteries charged by the bikes generator.
4. Front and rear tyres can be ANY fully ROAD LEGAL and “ E ” marked type ----- PLEASE note we will now accept
Michelin AC10 tyre's for this event.
N.B. Tyres marked N.H.U. (Not for Highway Use) or similar, non-speed rated tyres and ANY motocross tyres are
specifically EXCLUDED from this event.
5. All Sport bikes MUST be properly and efficiently silenced.

RIDER ELIGIBILITY:
The event is for WTRA members only; annual membership of WTRA is £5.00.
It is hoped that in order to maintain the spirit of the CAMBRIAN RALLY , riders who currently ride in the British Enduro Championship
class, or have ridden in that class in the last 5 years, will consider entering the CAMBRIAN RALLY on bikes eligible for the
TRAIL bike class.
START/FINISH AREA: Will be in the Nant-yr-hoch forest [new start area] please follow the dayglow arrows from the dam area- SN 78452
49338 (OS map 147). A voucher for food and drink at the refreshment van at the start / finish point will be given to every competitor. Finishers’
awards will be given to every competitor finishing the event. Further details will be given in the FINAL INSTRUCTIONS.
ENTRY FEES: Will not be returned unless the event is cancelled or a rider gives valid reason for not riding at least 7 days prior
to the event. In such cases £10/€16 will be deducte d to cover costs. Entries received after the published closing date will be liable to a
£15/€25 surcharge.

RULES/PENALTIES
COURSE:
Full details of the course will be announced with the final instructions. Time allowances will be available at the start control.
FLAGS:
If a RED flag is shown riders MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY and seek advice from the official showing the flag.
A YELLOW flag indicates that riders must proceed with GREAT CAUTIO N.
SPEED AVERAGE:
There will be an overall average speed of 18 M.P.H. There will be no penalty for being late at a "Special" stage until you are more than 60 minutes
late, at which point you will be excluded. If you are early at a "Special" stage you will have to wait for your correct start time, you will not
incur any penalty for being early.
ROAD FUND TAX:
A valid current tax disc must be displayed.
RIDING NUMBERS:
Will be black on white and will be issued by the organisers.
CLOTHING:
Helmets must have a current ACU gold or silver stamp. Motocross type boots, gloves and suitable strong clothing MUST be worn. It is
STRONGLY recommended that enduro type clothing is worn and an enduro type jacket is recommended.
REFUELLING:
Once out of Llandovery there are NO garages along, or anywhere near, the route. Refuelling will be located in the Dalarwen start / finish
area; there will be no need to refuel anywhere else. Toilets and refreshments will also be available at this area. No refuelling is permitted anywhere
other than at the refuelling area. No smoking is permitted in the forest, at the refuelling point or at the start/finish area. All petrol MUST be in
approved containers. YOU are responsible for your own refuelling arrangements; WTRA WILL NOT transport your fuel containers for you. Most
riders will probably need to refuel during the event.
COURSE MARKING:
Will be by DAYGLOW ARROWS (there will be NO road book) . On the "Special" stages marking will be better than enduro standard
with additional large arrows indicating corners. There will be a number of check points (CP’s) around the course which every rider must reach. These
CP’s will ensure that all the riders take the correct and complete course and no-one gets lost. To be classed as finisher’s riders MUST have
stopped at every CP.
MACHINE EXAMINATION / SIGNING ON:
Will be at the start / finish in Nant yr hoch forest between 09:00am and 10:45am on Saturday 18 October. Machines must be presented for

examination BEFORE signing on. Signing on will FINISH AT 10:50a.m.
START:
Riders will start the event in threes at one-minute intervals. The first three riders will start at 11:01am on Saturday 18 October and 09:01am on
th
Sunday 19 October. The start order will be by WTRA "seeding" (see entry form) and not class, i.e. the fastest riders will go first,
th
irrespective of Trail / Sport class. Riders will start each of the "Special" stages individually at 20-second intervals.
NOISE:
All machines will be tested and MUST meet current enduro standards. They must be fitted with the manufacturers ORIGINAL or a replacement
B.S. Approved (or equivalent) silencer that must NOT have been modified in any way.
SPECIAL NOTES
PLEASE NOTE: All the forest sections of the route are on private land and WTRA has special access permissions to run this event.
No-one, not even WTRA officials, have the authority or right to ride these forest sections either before or after the event and anyone doing so
WILL be putting the future of ALL off road riding in Wales in great jeopardy.
Access to the forestry route is for competitors and officials ONLY (no supporters/family/friends etc) and for the event weekend ONLY; please do
not ride the forestry route at any other time. Anyone found doing so will be excluded from this event and banned from all future
WTRA (and possibly all Welsh) events in the future.
1.
Entries will only be accepted with correct money and a separate fully completed entry form from each rider.
NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN BY TELEPHONE OR BY EMAIL.
2.
Priority will be given to entries in the TRAIL bike class.
3.
Machine must have official riding numbers clearly visible at all times.
4.
Abuse from either rider or supporters to any officials will not be tolerated and WILL lead to exclusion from the event with the
matter being reported to the ACU for further action.
5.
Only COMPETITORS are allowed to ride the course. Action will be taken against any unauthorised persons found to be doing
so. Having a support rider will result in the competitor being excluded.
6.
AT REFUELLING AREAS MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU DO NOT BLOCK THE FREE RUN THROUGH THE
AREA. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THESE AREAS.
