Announcements: WTRA Ltd will hold an Open Enduro for solo machines to be held under the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the 2007 standing Regulations of the ACU, the published supplementary regulations and any final instructions to the drivers that may apply.

Start/Finish: Will be in the Crychan Forest, Nr Llandovery. Full details and directions will be published in the final instructions.

Entries and Fees: Will not be returned unless the event is cancelled or a rider gives a valid reason for not riding, in writing at least 7 days prior to the event. In such cases £5 will be deducted to cover costs. Entries close on Saturday 27th January 2007 or when full (Max 180 in order of receipt) No late entries will be accepted.

Eligibility: All riders must be members of an ACU affiliated club.

ACU Membership and ACU Competition licences: You will need an annual Enduro Competition licence plus ACU membership or a one event competition licence which includes ACU membership. Please contact ACU at Auto Cycle Union, ACU House, Wood Street, Rugby, CV21 2YX. Telephone 01788 566400.

One event licences will be available by application to WTRA in advance of the Enduro by completing the application form on page 3 and enclosing the relevant fee.

CAPACITY GROUPS:

E1 - 100cc to 125cc 2 strokes and 175cc to 250cc 4 strokes

E2 - 175cc to 250cc 2 strokes and 290cc to 450cc 4 strokes

E3 - 290cc to 500cc 2 strokes and 475cc to 650cc 4 strokes

Teams:            (1) Best Trade Team    (2) Best Club Team      (3) Best Services Team

Besides awards for the above classes/group there will be:

Gold Medals To riders in each class who are within 15% of the score of that class winner

Silver Medals To riders in each class who are within 65% of the score of that class winner

Bronze Medals To all others who finish within their hour

Course: Full details of the course will be announced with the final instructions. It is expected that the lap length will be approximately 25 miles with all refuel at the start/finish area. There will be two “out-checks” and check 1 to check 2 will be “tight”. All classes time allowances and any changes to the final instructions will be available at the start control.

Rules/Penalties: As laid down in the 2007 ACU Handbook

Machine Examination/Sign On: Will be between 8.00 am and 9.30 am on Sunday 4th February 2007 only. Machines must be presented for examination BEFORE signing on. Signing on will finish at 9.45 am.

Noise: Drivers are required to have the stroke of the engine clearly and permanently marked on the crankcase. Any machine not showing this will not be examined. Random noise tests may take place during the event. Failure to stop for a noise test will result in immediate exclusion.

Tyres: Front and Rear MUST be 'Enduro' type to current FIM specification.

Note: "Road Legal Motocross tyres, such as the AC10, ARE NOT ALLOWED on the front or rear wheels.

SPECIAL NOTES

1. Entries will only be accepted with money and completed entry form, NOT OVER THE TELEPHONE.

The maximum entry is 180 in order of receipt.

2. Machines must have proper numbers on the correct backgrounds.

3. Abuse from either driver or supporters to any officials will not be tolerated and will lead to exclusion from the event with the matter being reported to the ACU for further action.

4. Only Competitors are allowed to ride or be on the course. Action will be taken against unauthorized persons found riding or driving in the forest or on any part of the course. Having a support rider means competitor exclusion.

5. Ensure that you do not block the free run of competitors into and through the refueling points, checks and special test areas.

6. No smoking is allowed in the parc ferme, the start area or in any part of the forest.

Entry declaration: I / we, the undersigned, apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof: -

·   I / we hereby declare that I / we have had the opportunity to read, and that I / we understand the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the ACU Standing Regulations, such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event, and agree to be bound by them.

·   I / we further declare that I am / we are physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and I am / we are competent to do so.

·   I / we confirm that I /we understand the nature and type of event we are entering and its inherent risks and agree to accept the same notwithstanding that such risk may involve negligence on the part of the organizers or officials.

·   I / we confirm that the machine(s) as described above which I / we compete on shall be suitable and proper for the purpose.

·   I / we confirm that if any part of the event takes place on a public highway the machine(s) described above shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Acts, or equivalent legislation, and that it / they will comply with the regulations in respect thereof.

·   I / we agree that I am / we are required to register our arrival by “signing-on” at the designated place not less than 30 minutes prior to commencement of my / our practice or first competition, whichever occurs first.

Acknowledgement of the risks of motorsport: I / we understand that by taking part in this event I / we are exposed to a risk of death, becoming permanently disabled or suffering some other serious injury and I / we acknowledge that even in the event that negligence on the part of the ACU, the promoter, the organizing club, the venue owner, or any individual carrying out duties on their behalf were to be a contributory cause of any serious injury I / we may suffer, the dominant cause of any serious injury will always be my / our voluntary decision to take part in a high risk activity.
